While Climax's
history can be tracked back to the early 1900's (with bottle washing
equipment), more recently it was a Division of the Lodge & Shipley
Company located in Cincinnati,
Ohio. In August of 1992,
however, G. L. Industries purchased Climax from a failing Lodge &
Shipley Company, and established itself as a stand-alone company.
We like to think of
ourselves as a growing, young company with a long tradition of experience
in the packaging machinery industry.
Our equipment line currently consists of the

While we do, indeed,
have "standard machines," we also pride ourselves in our ability
to engineer changes and modifications that allow for solutions to our
clients' unique packaging applications. Sometimes it can be as simple as
setting a conveyor height to match the height of our client's existing
line; at other times it may be the addition of optional parts or components
to meet a specific need.
We do not simply manufacture
machines. We listen to our prospects as they describe their packaging

We
can pack or unpack any type of "rigid" container:
- glass,
plastic, metal, or composite
- bottles,
jars, cans, jugs, boxes, cartons, etc.
- round or
non-round
- empty or
filled
- necks up or
necks down
Climax equipment can
work with either trays or cases, with and without partitions or inserts.
Frankly, we do not have experience at handling
bags, pouches, or envelopes, however, we are excellent with glass or
plastic bottles for many types of products; we also have extensive
experience at packing many sizes of cans. Listed below are a few examples
